Estes dados foram obtidos através de questão feita ao forum da odayowners.com em Ago/02. Mostram o custo para manter um barco atracado nos EUA. Resolvi "desengavetá-los" pensando que alguém poderia ter a mesma curiosidade que tive.

Nota: O Ladislau "Lalau" Szabo (VDS) correu uma regata Miami-Nassau agora em Março/2003. Veio contando maravilhas da marina em
que esteve em Miami. Dentre outras características que chamam atenção, os barcos atracados dispõem de conexão de internet por cabo.

On the small Ohio State Park where I have my Hunter 23 the slip fee is $552.00 from 01 April to 31 October, no water or electric, no gates, lots of break-ins (27 so far this year).

Down here the average cost for a 40ft slip is $6.50 per foot. Boats stay in the water year round so there is no haulout or splash fees. There are also slips for sale at our marina for $16K to about $22K Maintainence fees are currently $147.00 per month. This is for a gated community with private parking for tenants, two club houses with showers and laundry facilities plus pool. We are second closest to the bay and the view is great. Ron/KA5HZV

I pay 65 per foot (30 ft equal $1950) for a season that last from April 15 to Oct 15 plus cost to haul plus winter storage.

Costs in Connecticut

At a nice marina in CT you can count on for a slip about $ 100 per foot per season. Maybe 4 or 5 hundred for hauling, winter storage and spring launching. Insurance around 125. per year. A mooring would be cheaper but there is a 8 year wait.

Danilo, Hi from California, We own a Catalina 22, Fix Keel and keep it in San Diego Bay year around, side slip fee is in for profit marina is $9.40 cents per foot it is one of San Diego best marina a pull in slip is $14.50 per foot with a 30 foot min. at same marina , other expences include Insurance full $300,000 Liabilty aprox. $125.00 year. You can get slip up and down the coast here from as low as $4.50 per foot to as high as $15.00 depends on location and what is included.

I have an o'day 25 in Knoxville Tennessee in the mountains of the south eastern part of the country. Most of the for profit marinas here charge anywhere from $125 a month to $300 or more. We belong to a club. Membership is about $350 a year. Mooring is free. Slips (when available) are $10 a month. There is electricity, water, ramps, sling lift and rail lift a nice club house bathrooms and showers, swimming area, racing. I just paid for three years state registration of the boat for about $50. I've tried to add the club link below. We'll see if it works. Its the Concord Yatch Club if you try a google search. Sailboats only.

I am interested in the fees around the country, for comparison, here are the fees for my O'Day 25 in Hingham MA.

$1,250 (plus 5% tax) US for a mooring for April to November. This includes a dinghy dock and launch service from May 1 thru Sept. This includes a $400 launch fee.

$900 (plus 5% tax) to store the boat on the hard for the winter. Includes $400 launch fee.

Miscellaneous Fee: Mooring sticker - $100.00
Anti-Chafe gear and mooring penant - add another $100.00

Taxes and registration fees: I almost forgot this, the local Excise Tax - I forgot the exact amount, I think it was around $350. And the registration fee of $70. Both go to the government.

Otherwise that's about it. We tend to do all the upkeep on the boat ourselves re: cleaning the hull etc.

Hi, Danilo:

Naturally, most of us only see a small piece of what it costs throughout the U.S. to keep a boat but perhaps replies from different parts of our country will give you an 'overview'.

We usually keep our boats in 1 of 3 places in the U.S.: a marina (publically or privately owned), a private dock (behind a home we may or may not own) or at a yacht club. Some marinas also operate mooring fields, where boats are kept on a mooring in a river or protected bay. So you can already see it is hard to generalize.

For the smallest size 'slip' or docking space - which would accept an Oday 23 - in our public marina in this part of Florida it costs about $100/month plus 7% tax to the local government. In nice marinas with a pool and other luxuries, it will cost more (25-50% more, perhaps). Each 'slip' has an electrical power box that the slip renter can either pay to have 'turned on' or not, and that might add a few dollars per month as an Oday 23 would not use much electricity.

Keep in mind that this does not include other costs such as yearly registraton fees or property tax (one of these is usually required by the State in which the boat is kept), the cost to maintain the boat while in the water, nor the cost to haul it out and paint the bottom. Also, some boats are insured while others are not, which adds an additional cost.

Since I do not belong to a Yacht Club, I can not offer you info on their costs. Good luck with your research!
